I started collecting the DC Infinite Heroes hoping to get the original lineup of Giffen's Justice League. Now that the line seems to be done, I am really only missing one of them....but still, it's not complete. And it's lame. If I'd known that's how it would have played out, then I probably wouldn't have started.

So, if you KNOW that they aren't going to supply you with a complete collection, why do you continue to buy? I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm seriously asking you. If you can't get the full collection you want, is it enough it to get a significant amount of them?

Absolutely. In fact I don't want everything from the scene, so I don't want it to be complete. I don't want Cane Adiss or other shit I can hardly tell is there. I don't want all the human characters. With respect to the palace aside from an upgraded Ree Yees and Yakface, I already have enough to make a decent display so it's all gravy at this point. Those are the only two from the palace I'd truly be upset if they didn't remake, but I know they will be done by 2018. Doallyn, Fozec, and the Mosep alien are luxuries. Crap there were 96 total vintage figures and I probably now have 1/3 of that total in new figures in my palace display alone.

I'm a little more worried about the skiff guards being incomplete, but it won't kill me.

Ah, well...still, there's difference between totally complete, and what you consider complete. Like my Justice League thing, I decided I'd only get the original lineup. Of course if I'd wanted to get the entire history of members, I'd be pretty unhappy now. But basically, I set my limit, like you have.

How did you come to this conclusion? I never mentioned the word complete in my original statement. I just said I had a wish list that may not get satisfied, a wish list that I said did not represent a complete scene. So it seems there is no difference.

It only took about 30 years to get the figures we all wanted when we were kids.
Remember when GI JOES fist came out in 80's?
I totally wanted Kenner to make Star Wars figures like they made Joes.
I will keep collecting as long as they make a good effort to make good products.
If I can't get the products I want at retail, I may stop collecting altogether.
The last Legacy Collection was terrible as far as product availability.
I did not even see some of the toys at retail. I refuse to pay Ebay prices for figures that I should be able to get on the shelf.
I also hate the "covention exclusives" Those are like the biggest kick in the nuts to collectors everywhere.
So far though it seems that the VC stuff will be readily available. Maybe Hasbro gets it.
