Hasbro's answers for the questions submitted on 02/27/09. Enjoy!

1. Could we get a photo of the gunner inside the turret of the Geonosis Assault Battle Pack from the Toy Fair coverage? If no additional turret, can we expect some additional clone gear/weaponry in the set?

ANS. Unfortunately, we do not have a picture at this time of the Clone inside the turret. The fit is not that tight - it's pretty roomy in there actually. There will be no additional weaponry besides their helmets and basic Clone blasters.

2. Will the vulture droid be repainted into episode 1 colors? And, how about a picture of the vulture droid in walking mode?

ANS. Eventually, we might repaint it into alternate colors drawn from previous entertainment but right now there are no plans. Here is a pic of the droid in "walking" mode.



3. Any update on the cantina bar dispenser or any other extra bar parts? It’s been a while and a lot of people really want to complete that cantina.

ANS. Unfortunately, we were not able to develop the dispenser after all. The piece was simply too deep and complex to be delivered as an accessory in the basic figure assortment. It's possible that someday we could do this accessory in an exclusive pack, but right now there is nothing on the drawing board.

What the fuck?! They make it sound like they have beeen trying to split the atom or something? What a fucking lazy answer on their part!

Too complex? "Too Complex" is astrophyisics not figureing out how to design a toy to an imaginary space opera.

It makes me mad and I donb't even collect 3 3/4. (I'm also on my 5th Red Stripe this evning so maybe that has something to do with it)

that cantina dispenser thing could easily fit into a battle pack, and they could stuff in another Greedo and Ponda Baba and stick us with an unupdated Dr. Evazan

they totally didn't think that thru at all

neither of the other answers came as a surprise, except at Sandtroopers, where they hinted that the Turret battle pack will be a short run

I sense this item will be the scalpers' gold this year

I think by "too complex" they mean that it would require multiple pieces of tooling- rather than one injection mold they can just run. That means that it would have to be taking the place of a figure in a battlepack or something rather than a pack-in. I think we'll still see it eventually.
