5/10 Bantha Skulls

Snowbunny Padme is a vast improvement over the previous suck job version that came with the “Ambush on Ilum” battlepack a couple years back as a Target Exclusive.

This version is fully articulated.  Her face sculpt is superior to the previous version, but isnt’ exactly a Natalie Portman look-alike.  The pistol fits nicely in her holster, but it seems that her left hand is better suited to hold it, rather than her right, in which the pistol is attached in the packaged.

The paint is decent, nothing too detailed, but not much to mess up here.  The cloth material for the cape is nice, in that it is substantial enough to handle a little posing, even though it lacks that new-fangled wire that some other caped figures have been sporting recently.  The hood is plastic.  It looks okay, but clashes a bit with the soft goods cape.

Besides the so-so face sculpt, the major drawback to this figure is her strange wide stance.  Unless she plans on riding a speeder bike of some sort, it just looks odd.  I think the figure and the Padme character would be better off with a more “lady-like” stance, but maybe that’s just me.

This figure is better than the first version, but nothing really to write home about, and since my first version works fighting off the spider droids in the diorama, I’m honestly not that excited by this figure.
