6/10 Bantha Skulls

I was hoping for better with this guy.  I like the way he looks, and I’m all about building the armies from the microseries.

He’s painted nicely, with some good touches on his uniform, and even on the soft goods skirt.  I feel that his skin should be shinier - it looks dull compared to the shell of a Lobster (or Ackbar).  He has less than standard articulation as both his head and waist are swivel, but the kicker is that he has NO KNEES!  This sucks.  All figures should have jointed knees & ankles.  As such, his posability is limited.

He comes with a weapon, a neat “trilobite” looking shield, and a war horn.  Unfortunately, all of these items are simply painted.  This was a missed opportunity to make these things (and the figure) pop nicely.

The downside of the accessories is that NONE of them really fit well in his hands.  The weapon barely fits in his hand.  The shield is better of slung on his forearm rather than in his hand.  The horn sort of slings over his shoulder, but that snugly, and he doesn’t grip it very well.  I INSIST my figures be able to grasp their accessories.  This upsets me.

6/10.  Consider yourself lucky, Lobster Boy.
