Well, Hasbro tried, but they seem to be indicating that a better one is coming shortly, so we’ll chalk this one up as DS2 Luke fail again.

It’s not the worst figure, but this iconic look for Luke should have been nailed down a long time ago.  The arms and legs are mostly recycled, with the newest gimmick being the interchangeable chest.  This was a decent concept, but the barrel shaped chest that was created looks silly. The interchangeable panels allow you to display the figure with the tunic flap buttoned or unbuttoned.  Meh.
The headsculpt isn’t terrible, although it looks like Robert Redford to me.  He’s got plenty of articulation, comes with a ligthsaber, two chest pieces, and handcuffs.  I’m not thrilled with the handcuff accessories, but it basically sets up what should have been the definitive DS2 Luke, which would have included all the items associated with him since he surrendered to Imperial forces on Endor.
THere were great expectations for this figure.  If you haven’t picked one up yet, I’d recommend passing until Hasbro gives him another try.  This is not the DS2 Luke you are looking for.
