Major Variants
*First Day of Issue foil stickers were added to assortments of The Legacy Collection Wave 1 and The Clone Wars Wave 1 figures. Each figure exists with and without the sticker. Also, the “Star Wars” logo on the front of the FDOI cards has a metallic finish.
*The artwork on the cards was altered soon after the initial release. At first, the stormtrooper lenses were black. Shortly after, it was changed to blue.
Build-a-droid notes
*When first shipped along with The Legacy Collection Wave 1, this figure came with the right leg of R4-D6.
*When it was re-shipped with Wave 3, this figure came with the right arm of 5D6-RA-7. It also sported the blue lens cardback.
Notes
*The “GH” numbering system is the abbreviation for Greatest Hits. These figures are shipped together under the same UPC as the basic Legacy Collection figures, but as they are repacks from recent months, they are not part of the BD numbering system.
*This figure was originally released as part of Wave 1 2008 of the Thirtieth Anniversary Collection (TAC). The only difference in the figures is that this time around, there is NO stand included…

This is an excellent figure. But, nothing new here - this is a straight repack (as are all the Greatest Hits - “GH” figures in the TLC line).
Here’s a figure that is worthy of a re-release. It is a tremendous upgrade from the previous version, which was part of the ROTS repaint wave in late 2005 prior the changeover to the SAGA collection. That was simply a ROTJ style scout trooper painted in the coloring of the 41st Legion on Kashyyyk. However, the inaccuracies of that quick-fix irked collectors, and now we have this version.
The figure looks great, and the sculpt is spot on. One of the few complaints about this figure is it’s height. He’s short, and looks like the Republic had a few runt clones that they threw into this unit. They are short as compared to other clones, but in the end, they still look great in a Kashyyyk diorama.
The paint job is excellent. He has great details all over his armor. The camouflage paint scheme is well done. One of my complaints for Hasbro is that they are rather inconsistent with camo paint schemes (both in color/tone and patterns) with their different clones. This trooper, the previously mentioned repaint trooper, the clone that came with Yoda in the Target Order 66 set, and others don’t even look like they are in the same unit. As it is, the paint on this guy is great.
He has a flip up visor, which may or may not suit you. When down, it fits well and doesn’t look like a separate piece. He comes with a rifle. Unlike the TAC version, he does not come with a stand.
Better height and perhaps the ball-jointed wrist treatment would have improved this figure. Overall, it is an excellent effort, and a nice addition to your collection. Not sure if Hasbro will ever correct the height issue, but if you can get over that, this figure should make you happy. Get one – get many!
