Major Variants

*First Day of Issue foil stickers were added to assortments of The Legacy Collection Wave 1 and The Clone Wars Wave 1 figures.  Each figure exists with and without the sticker.  Also, the “Star Wars” logo on the front of the FDOI cards has a metallic finish.

*The artwork on the cards was altered soon after the initial release.  At first, the stormtrooper lenses were black.  Shortly after, it was changed to blue.

Build-a-Droid notes
*Each GH figure does come with a “Build-a-droid” part.

*When first shipped along with The Legacy Collection Wave 1, this figure came with the left leg of R4-D6.

*When it was re-shipped with Wave 3, this figure came with the left leg of 5D6-RA-7.  It also sported the blue lens cardback.

Notes
*The “GH” numbering system is the abbreviation for Greatest Hits.  These figures are shipped together under the same UPC as the basic Legacy Collection figures, but as they are repacks from recent months, they are not part of the BD numbering system.
*This figure was originally released as part of Wave 1 2008 of the Thirtieth Anniversary Collection (TAC).  The only difference in the figures is that this time around, there is NO stand included…

10/10 Bantha Skulls

This is a GREAT figure.  But, nothing new here - this is a straight repack (as are all the Greatest Hits - “GH” figures in the TLC line).

This is an outstanding figure, and definitely worthy of a re-release.  It is a tremendous upgrade from the previous version, which was part of the ROTS repaint wave in late 2005 prior the changeover to the SAGA collection.

This figure has a ton of articulation, including a first:  Ball jointed wrists.  This allows for great posing flexibility and realism.  These joints might be very slightly on the bulky side, but they don’t bother me at all.

The paint job is excellent.  He has great details all over his armor.  I’d say this clone is has more unique personality than any other in the line so far.  Hasbro really went all out.

He has a removeable helmet, which may or may not suit you.  It means it’s a soft, deformable plastic, so it may not look as sturdy as a permanent helmet.  Personally, I don’t need to have all my clones show their faces, but it works well enough.

Gree comes with a rifle, helmet, and binoculars.  The accessories work well with him, and he can hold them all securely.

You know what would have made this figure an 11/10?  A decaptiation feature - like Saga Jango Fett and the Tusken Raider with the neck magnets.  Seems like that would have been easy enough.  I would prefer that to the removeable helmet.  You probably couldn’t have both, as it would be hard to get the head out of the helmet if it didn’t have a sturdy peg to attach to.

Overall, this is a fantastic figure, and one of my favorites in the line.  Hopefully, Hasbro will begin using this mold for it’s clone trooper releases in the future, and will carry over the articulation to OT stormtroopers as well.
