Major Variants
*First Day of Issue foil stickers were added to assortments of The Legacy Collection Wave 1 and The Clone Wars Wave 1 figures. Each figure exists with and without the sticker. Also, the “Star Wars” logo on the front of the FDOI cards has a metallic finish.
*The artwork on the cards was altered soon after the initial release. At first, the stormtrooper lenses were black. Shortly after, it was changed to blue.
Build-a-droid notes
*Each GH figure does come with a “Build-a-droid” part.
*This figure comes with the head and center leg of R4-D6.
Notes
*The “GH” numbering system is the abbreviation for Greatest Hits. These figures are shipped together under the same UPC as the basic Legacy Collection figures, but as they are repacks from recent months, they are not part of the BD numbering system.
*This figure was originally released as part of a complete “The Force Unleashed” Wave of the 30th Anniversary Collection (TAC) in early 2008. The only difference in the figures is that this time around, there is NO stand included…

Nothing new here. This is a straight repack (as are all the Greatest Hits - “GH” figures in the TLC line).
When first revealed, I had high hopes for this this figure, but was basically let down when I got it in my hands. Vader’s battle-damage is impressive, if not physically realistic. If you take a quick look from a distance, he’s a very intersting figure. Upon closer inspection, it largely falls flat.
First, the “gold” highlighted armor looks very odd. Otherwise, the figure is painted pretty well.
Second, although he has 3 separate pieces of “suit” that can be added/removed to simulate damage, you cannot make a complete Vader. His foot, knee, and upper arm are always visible.
Third, his helmet does not align right. When affixed to his head, a close view makes it look like his grill was bashed in with a sledgehammer. Perhaps you can accept this as part of the “battle damaged” look. But I don’t like it. Then, when you remove the helmet, the remaining facemask does not align properly with his face. His actual eye is way off from the location of the lense. He’s actually set up to be looking through his nosepiece.
Fourth, his GIGANTIC mechanical foot! You cannot hid this thing, which looks about 6 sizes to large for the (absent) boot that should be covering it. It looks ridiculous. Nobody at Hasbro QA realized this?
Finally, if you got the TAC version, you got a stand, which is not included here.
He is well articulated, the damage is severe and impressive, with a tattered cape included. As a toy for a kid, he’s probably pretty neat, but as a piece for a THIS collector...not so much.
Eh. He kinda looks cool, he kinda sucks. 5/10.
