8/10 Bantha Skulls

I like this vehicle.  It took 6 years from it’s first appearance on Geonosis in AOTC to be immortilized in plastic, but I’m happy with the results.

The sculpt is good.  It’s definitely a bit on the small size, but this doesn’t bother me in the least.  It looks great in a diorama with some AATs and battle droids.

The cockpit opens, and holds a battle droid (not included).  The legs can be positioned in a variety of ways.  Besides shifting sideways, they bend at the “knees” so that the legs form 45 degree angles, allowing this guy to stand pretty tall.  The “thigh” part of the leg also can be angled upward, and the “shin” part of the legs can be angled outward, giving it a nice solid wide stance.  The feet are ball jointed, so almost any way you position the legs will force the feet to lay flat, keep the droid upright.

There are two cannons that fire spring loaded projectiles.  One above the cockpit and one below.  The firing mechanism works pretty well.

The interior of the cockpit is simple, but gives ample room for a droid to sit, as well as most other action figures.  There are a few touches of paint around the vehicle, but basically, it’s nearly a one color product.

Overall, I think this is a good toy for 20 bucks.  I might be interested in a couple more for my displays.
