I’m very happy with this evolutions set. We got 1 excellent outfit that fans have requested for a while (TPM), a nice update to an outfit we’ve seen a few times (AOTC), and a figure we may never have seen in any other format (ROTS).
Queen Amidala is a really great looking figure, probably my fave out of the bunch. She’s got an excellent sculpt all around. The face looks accurate. The headdress and gown have nice sculpting details all around. The paint is very good, with terrific detailing. She has decent articulation above the waist, although the arms look odd when you move her shoulders, due to the draping sleeves. Beyond that, she’s a salt shaker, which seems par for the course with “Padme in gown” figures. I really have no problem with this, but some collectors might. She comes without any accessories.
Geonosis Padme is a nice upgrade to older figures. She has a very good sculpt. The face is outstanding (she’s missing her mole!). Although you may not tell from the pics, her face, to me, is dead on Natalie Portman. Painting is simple, but effective. She comes with a soft goods shawl, and a new accessory: a head scarf. It looks good, and fits her head well - her eyes peek right through the slot. She has her standard pistol, which fits nicely in her holster, although not as nicely in her hand.
Nightgown Padme is another nice looking figure. The body sculpt is simple, with a hint of the twins showing. Her face is not a great sculpt. This figure is even more of a salt shaker than the Queen figure, because it has no waist articulation. The feet on my sample were slightly warped, making it tough to stand her sometimes. She comes with a white...sleepgown? I believe this piece is from the maternity ward scene, making it an odd choice for an accessory, but I’d bet itll be Hasbro’s only attempt to make a Padme that fits that scene, so there you go. Perhaps the silliest thing about this is the title this figure is given on the box: Padme Amidala: Mother of Heroes. Just strange.
Overall, I like the choices. It’s a nice spread across the movies. I’m happy to have this set in my collection.
