3/10 Bantha Skulls

Not a great set by any stretch.  A rather blah Leia figure is included.  The face sculpt is poor, and the paint is sloppy - especially since the ankle joints are unpainted.  The soft goods cloak/belt work pretty well, and her pistol fits nicely into the holster.  She can also grip the pistol pretty well.  She comes with a sniper rifle which is not featured in this particular comic, but since she is touted as “Sniper Leia” it seems to be important.  Unfortunately, no effort was made to allow the figure to grip the sniper rifle in any meaningful way, making this figure fail.  I’m also not a fan of the wide stance.

Vader is vader, but white.  It’s kind of striking, and you can add him to the ever growing population of colorful Vaders that have graced the line for the past 6-7 years. Nothing new other than the paint.  He even comes with a red saber.  Although not shown in the comic, you wonder if it should not be a Jedi green or blue.  I suppose if Vader had time to have his armor meticulously repainted, he could have had the red crystal replaced, but whatever.

As with many of the comic packs, fans of the comic itself will probably like this set.  For the rest of collectors, you might like the novelty of the white Vader, or you might think the Leia suits your Endor diorama well.  For me, I could have done without this set, but maybe the white Vader will grow on me.
