Major Variants
A running change was made to reduce the height of the neck post to give the figure a more accurate look.  This is sometimes referred to as the “short neck” variant.

I want to give this figure a bad grade because everything around it sucks.  The old skiff sucks.  The old Weequay Guard (Queequeg) sucks.  The old cinema scene Vedian (not pictured) sucks.  But before this becomes like my review of Transformers 2, I better get onto the actual subject.

I love the figure.  The only gripe I really have is that the shoulder pads appear a bit out of proportion, but that’s probably just a byproduct of the miniaturization.  The costume limits the articulation in places, but, as in the past, I won’t fault the figure for this.  The head sculpt is awesome.  The detail, paint apps and correct football shaped head are great.  The painted and sturdy vibro-ax is a welcome departure from previous vibro-axes that offered the rigidity of a twist tie.  Another 9 out of 10.  Deduction for the aforementioned shoulder proportionality.
