Okay, if you aren’t won over to this fun little crossover line with this entry, you never will be.  The dimwitted mooing languid herds of tractors from the Cars universe are translated into the indistinguishable mass of white plasteel foot soldiers from Star Wars.  Considering the Stormtroopers served as little more than cannon fodder for the Rebels, the choice of host is brilliant.

I’ve been gushing about the details in this line so far and this might be my favorite.  Lets start of that the tractor’s original exhaust pipe is replaced with a facsimile of an E11 Stormtrooper blaster.  It’s a detail that I didn’t catch at first glance.  The distinctive pattern of the Stormtrooper ab plate is represented in the engine recess of the tractor and the familiar helmet vents are painted just below. The gear and details of the emergency air supply from the Stromrooper’s back plate appear on the back of the cab just above the thermal detonator.  The least subtle detail is the Imperial symbol on the rear wheels, but it works.  The grill of the original tractor is replaced with the distinctive Stormtrooper frown complete with the silver tipped induction filters (a paint application Hasbro often forgets or omits).

This was another noteworthy effort in this line.  As much as I love Mater as Darth Vader, if you’re only going to buy one car from this line, get the Tractor as Stormtrooper.
