I couldn’t wait to add this to my world famous 501st focus collection the minute I stumbled across preview pics a few months ago.  It’s stupidly large, has almost no play value, and is a hollow bunch of plastic with minimal articulation. What’s not to love?  I’ve rarely felt as ridiculous as I did carrying this to the Toys R Us cashier.  Like its brother, the 31” Vader, this item is hard to categorize.  As my esteemed colleague mentioned in his Vader review, it’s a weird piece.  Maybe it’s just me, but other than the scale, this guy is almost identical to the 3 3/4” 5 POA version available in the Hasbro 2-pack.  Seriously.  In a side by side picture, you almost can’t tell them apart.  There’s something oddly compelling about that.  Or maybe not.

The head swivels from side to side.  The arms swivel up and down at the shoulder.  The hips allow the legs to move in a walking position, although the thing can only stand when the feet are flat.  The wrists swivel.  He has a rifle which is molded into his right hand, and can actually stand balanced even with this arm extended fully forward.

I’m not sure how much of a market there is for this guy, but I certainly had to add it to my collection.  But like most Peyton Manning playoff teams, I’m one and done with this line, however long it may last.
