Nomadscout’s Star Wars Room - Update 2

My recent announcement that I would be building out my Star Wars basement included pictures of the room as it stands prior to beginning the project.  For this update, we flash back to the last time we experienced a Star Wars movie year, with pictures of my collection (almost entirely Hasbro 3.75”) as it was in my apartment in late-ish 2005.

I suffer from acute completism, although I’ve had to narrow its definition to account for my lack of interest in kiddie kid toys for kids (The Clone Wars Collection).  You can see that my collection spans every Hasbro (realistically styled) product in the line since 1995.  Much of my ROTS purchases were still in the package.  Less than a year after I took these pictures, I moved into a new (smaller) apartment with my then not-yet-wife, and had to pack everything up and put into storage.  At the time, this included a bunch of Saga Collection items that I had purchased prior to packing up.  Since then, I’ve collected almost 8 years worth of Hasbro stuff, most of which I barely enjoyed for short periods on my desk or in a drawer, before they joined the collection in storage.

It wasn’t until after I packed up and moved that I started my 501st focus collection, and branched out a bit into the likes of Sideshow and Master Replicas.  That has been, and will remain, a relatively small part of my habit.

For my new basement, I am looking to maintain the same display concept as is in these pictures.  I will set up the figures, ships, and environments in order to recreate movie scenes, although I am hoping to be a little more creative with the design.  Over time I would like to upgrade each scene with improvements to the environment (custom-built, or otherwise).

In my next update, I’ll include a “blueprint” layout of my basement, for display planning.

As will be the case for this ongoing story, I always welcome any ideas (positive, negative, or constructive) on how to set up this space, so go ahead and leave comments below!
